Columbus Blue Jackets forward Max Domi will miss 2-4 weeks with a rib fracture that occurred Saturday against the Seattle Kraken.

Despite the injury in the 2-1 victory, Domi eventually fed Patrik Laine for the game-winning goal in overtime.

Domi, 26, has a goal and three assists in the first two games of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery in the offseason. Recovery from the June 4 surgery was expected to be as much as five months, yet Domi made his way back to the lineup in just over four months and was ready for the start of the season.

The Blue Jackets’ veteran has 91 goals and 188 assists in 431 career games.

Columbus (2-0-0) is at Detroit on Tuesday night and returns home to face the New York Islanders on Thursday.
