RGIII not ‘content’ as Lamar Jackson’s backup

Robert Griffin III trade

Now that the Baltimore Ravens traded Joe Flacco to the Broncos, it leaves Robert Griffin III as the No. 2 quarterback behind Lamar Jackson.

Go figure. But sitting behind Jackson is something RGIII is not interested in doing long-term.

This is what Griffin had to say when asked if he was satisfied with his position in the league.

“By no means am I content with where I’m at, Griffin told TMZ Sports.”

He went on to say that any quarterback who joins the league is not happy with being a backup.

When asked if he was going to compete for Jackson’s job, Griffin jokingly said maybe they would “run a race for charity.”

It will be fun to watch both Heisman winning quarterbacks duke it out for playing time this summer. Perhaps Griffin does gain the upper edge.

This could mean that RGIII will see field in the fall if Jackson takes a step back.
