Report: Zion Williamson to make NBA debut Thursday

Zion Williamson debut

The long-anticipated debut of New Orleans Pelicans rookie No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson won’t have to wait much longer.

According to this report, Williamson will make his NBA debut against the Utah Jazz on Thursday after missing the first 40 games of his rookie campaign with the knee injury.

Williamson has been taking part in practice in recent days, and looks to be 100% recovered from said injury.

Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry did note recently that the Duke product will be on a minutes restriction, at least initially.

Williamson headed into the 2019 NBA Draft as one of the most noteworthy prospects since LeBron James.

The stud forward will now have an opportunity to display that promise over the final half of the season.
