Report: Suns’ Josh Jackson arrested, then escaped in handcuffs at music festival

Phoenix Suns forward Josh Jackson was reportedly arrested at the Rolling Loud music festival in Miami Gardens for trying repeatedly to enter a VIP area without the proper pass. Making matters worse, he ran away from police after being handcuffed, per Andy Slater.

As a result, Jackson was reportedly charged with felony escape and a misdemeanor for non-violently resisting arrest, per Miami-Dade county police records (via Arizona Sports 98.7 FM).

None of this is any good. For Jackson, it’s a continuation of a trend of poor off-court decisions that goes back to his first season in the NBA.

He entered the NBA draft with a court order to attend anger management classes and stay away from alcohol or drugs stemming from an incident with a female student-athlete at Kansas in 2016.

More recently, Jackson curiously failed to attend an autograph session at a local grocery store — a mistake the Suns fined him $20,000 for.

Last season, Jackson averaged 11.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game for Phoenix.
