MLB is reportedly expected to suspend spring training in Arizona and Florida amid growing concerns over the spread of COVID-19, per Jon Heyman of MLB Network.

Heyman also reported that postponements and cancellations are being discussed by MLB.

This news comes just minutes after a string of announcements around the NCAA that all the major men’s basketball tournaments have been cancelled.

The NBA also suspended its season Wednesday night after the stunning news that Utah Jazz star Rudy Gobert has tested positive for coronavirus, and on Thursday morning his teammate, Donovan Mitchell, also tested positive.

To this point, there has been no announcement made about the NCAA Tournament since the NCAA’s declaration Wednesday that March Madness would be played without fans in attendance.

The NFL has reportedly begun taking measures as well, with many teams considering shutting down their training facilities, and others shutting down all travel for scouts, coaches and other personnel.
