The very same day that saw the Philadelphia 76ers receive some bad news relating to Ben Simmons’ injury will now see fellow All-Star Joel Embiid return to action.
Embiid has missed the past five games with a shoulder injury. He will be on the court for Wednesday night’s game against the Detroit Pistons.
This could not come at a better time for a struggling Sixers squad that sits at 38-26 on the season and as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.
The All-Star is averaging 23.3 points and 11.8 rebounds on 47% shooting during the 2019-20 season. The Sixers hope he’ll be ready to go for the duration of the campaign.
