Report: Shaquille O’Neal signs off on VH1 reality show for his kids

Shaquille O'Neal

Coming soon to a television near you, NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal’s children will reportedly be featured in a VH1 reality show.

TMZ is reporting that the show, which has been in the works for years, has finally received Shaq’s blessing.

“The show will feature Shaq’s 4 kids with ex-wife Shaunie — along with her child from a previous relationship and will primarily focus on the kids trying to forge their way into various careers. One of the kids wants to be a comedian. Another is interested in music.”

Also to be featured is O’Neal’s 17-year old son, who is known for his exploits on Los Angeles high school basketball courts as a 6-foot-9 power forward at Windward School. TMZ is reporting his recruiting process (already been offered scholarships by seven D1 schools) will be documented on the show.

Given America’s love of reality television and celebrities, you can bet the show will be highly anticipated. It will be up to Shaq’s kids to determine how popular it becomes. Looking at the cross section of the kids — an aspiring comedian, a musician and a baller — it could be a huge hit.
