Report: Seahawks will re-sign linebacker K.J. Wright

The Seattle Seahawks aren’t going to let linebacker K.J. Wright leave. According to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, Wright will be back in the fold for the 2019 season.

Condotta says the Seahawks are “deep in negotiations and that Wright will come back to the Seahawks in 2019,” noting the terms of a potential deal are still unknown.

Originally a fourth-round pick out of Mississippi State, Wright has been a starter for the Seahawks since his rookie year in 2011. Since that time, he has started 108 games for Seattle, earning a Pro Bowl nod in 2016 and helping the team win Super Bowl XLVIII.

A dynamic playmaker, Wright has racked up 11.5 sacks, 10 forced fumbles, seven recoveries, and intercepted two passes while breaking up 33 others during the course of his career.
