The Atlanta Braves are reportedly securing young superstar Ronald Acuna for the foreseeable future with an eight-year deal worth $100 million.

Jeff Passan of ESPN reports the deal includes two club options.

This is obviously a smart move by Atlanta.

Acuna is still just 21 years old, yet he’s already established himself as one of MLB’s most potent young superstars.

Last season, his first at the MLB level, Acuna hit .293 with 26 home runs and 64 RBI. He also made some history along the way.

Originally signed as an international free agent by Atlanta back in 2014, the Venezuelan star clearly has a bright future ahead of him. The Braves are making sure that future takes place in Atlanta.
