The NFL has reportedly denied the reinstatement application of Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon after the former Pro Bowler was forced to sit out each of the past two seasons.

Gordon has been suspended a total of four times for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. Though, the league’s decision on Thursday should raise some eyebrows. Most figured Gordon’s application for reinstatement from his most-recent suspension would be approved.
That’s obviously not the case.
Gordon, 26, broke on to the scene big time back in 2013, recording 87 receptions for a league high 1,646 yards to go with nine touchdowns. He can apply for reinstatement once again this fall.
