Report: Nerlens Noel traded to Mavericks for Andrew Bogut, Justin Anderson, conditional first-round pick

Nerlens Noel

The Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly come to an agreement on a trade that sends Nerlens Noel to Dallas in exchange for Andrew Bogut, Justin Anderson and a conditional first-round pick, per ESPN’s Marc Stein.

This is a blockbuster move for the Mavericks, who’ve been trying to land a talented big man for years. Noel, the former No. 6 overall pick of the 2013 NBA Draft, will now be in a position to play more in Dallas.

This move is also big for Philadlephia because it opens up even more room for rookie Dario Saric to blossom. Moving Noel out of the picture, in addition to the trade that sent Ersan Ilyasova to the Atlanta Hawks, shows just how much the 76ers love Saric’s game.

Bogut is a player who won’t matter in the long run to Philly, as he’s playing out the final year of his current deal. The Sixers won’t likely keep him, one way or another.

Justin Anderson is a young shooting guard with a manageable salary who has not played much in Dallas but who could potentially have more room to grow with the 76ers.
