Report: NCAA suspends recruiting, both on and off campus, through April 15

After dragging its feet on announcing that March Madness has been cancelled, the NCAA is getting proactive about COVID-19 as it relates to all recruiting efforts.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reported Friday that the NCAA has suspended recruiting for all sports, both on and off campus, until April 15.

In light of how pretty much every single sport out there aside from the UFC has opted to suspend or cancel seasons due to the growing threat of COVID-19, this measure seemed like a no-brainer.

But now it’s official, per Rothstein, and of course given the fluid nature of the coronavirus pandemic that’s sweeping the globe the date is subject to change.
