Report: Multiple teams still chasing after Redskins All-Pro

Redskins, draft

The Washington Redskins made the correct decision in going with Ohio State edge rusher Chase Young with the second overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Though, there’s still some things to be settled in the nation’s capital. Primarily, the future of All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams remains up in the air. While Washington was unable to move Williams ahead of the draft, the future Hall of Famer wants out of dodge.

In no way does this mean that Washington has closed the door on moving Williams. According to JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington, multiple teams are still interested in trading for Williams heading into Day 2 of the draft.

A deal could potentially be worked out at some point in the second round. A total of six offensive tackles went in the first round of the draft Thursday night. This still leaves teams such as the Dolphins, Buccaneers, Bills, Vikings and Seahawks in need of help at that position.

As for the Redskins, they are currently without a second-round pick. Being able to land a selection in that round would be huge for new head coach Ron Rivera and Co. It’s something to watch as the draft continues.
