LSU Tigers star running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire reportedly suffered a non-contact hamstring injury at practice on Tuesday.

The Athletic’s Brody Miller confirmed initial reports that junior went down in practice while juking a defender and suffered the non-contact injury.

Edwards-Helaire has been one of the best running backs in college football this season. He finished the regular season with 1,290 rushing yards, 399 receiving yards and 17 total touchdowns.

Head coach Ed Orgeron will speak to reporters on Wednesday night, when he will likely provide an update on Edwards-Helaire’s injury and just how long it could keep him out of action.

LSU is less than two weeks away from playing the Oklahoma Sooners in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Dec. 28.
