When the Buffalo Bills traded for star running back LeSean McCoy, they had to know the Pro Bowler wouldn’t be happy with the deal initially.
So in order to cater to McCoy, the Bills have reportedly worked out a lucrative new deal with their top offensive player.
McCoy, 26, was already set to earn about $24 million in base salary over the next three seasons. While there are no details regarding the new deal available at this time, the expectation has to be that he will see a nice little raise from that figure.
As Fox Sports insider Mike Garafolo pointed out, the deal is expected to be signed prior to the start of the new league year on Tuesday.
McCoy was traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to Buffalo for Kiko Alonso earlier this week. The former second-round pick put up 9,074 total yards and 54 touchdowns in six seasons with Philadelphia.
