Kansas State standout Nijel Pack has entered the NCAA transfer portal, 247Sports reported Thursday.

The 6-foot sophomore guard was named the Big 12’s Most Improved Player last season after averaging 17.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals in 29 games (28 starts). He shot 43.6 percent from 3-point range to lead the conference and earned first-team All-Big 12 honors.

Pack declared for the 2022 NBA Draft earlier this month but left open the possibility of returning to school.

He averaged 15.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.3 steals in 53 games (52 starts) over two seasons with the Wildcats, who missed the NCAA Tournament for a third straight year this season.

Pack was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2020 out of Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis.
