Report: Hawks ‘have been aggressive’ exploring trades to move up in draft

The Atlanta Hawks, armed with the No. 8 and No. 10 overall picks in the 2019 NBA Draft, are reportedly itching to trade those picks and move up.

According to Jonathan Givony of ESPN, the Hawks were rebuffed by the New York Knicks for the No. 3 overall pick. However, the New Orleans Pelicans are “considering the possibility of trading their No. 4 pick for 8+10.”

Given how top-heavy the draft is this year, this shouldn’t be a surprise. The Hawks could land two serviceable players with their current picks, however they must be eyeing one of the top-three prospects to be pushing this hard for a trade up.
