Report: Giants suspend Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie indefinitely

When New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo announced on Wednesday that Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie had been suspended after he stormed out of the team’s facility, it was just the latest problem for the downtrodden franchise.

Since, more information has come out as to why Cromartie was suspended. DRC was told last Friday that he would be inactive for this Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. He left a receiver session that day, and apparently threw a tamper tantrum on the field against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5.

The Giants have now reportedly suspended the high-priced defensive back indefinitely after he met with McAdoo Thursday morning.

“New York Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has been notified that he was indefinitely suspended following his meeting with coach Ben McAdoo on Thursday morning,” ESPN’s Jordan Raanan reported.

New York now heads into Week 6’s game against Denver in the midst of a completely disastrous season. It boasts an 0-5 record and lost star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. for the season to an ankle injury last week.

We’re not exactly too sure what to make of the entire DRC situation. Though, McAdoo himself sounded pretty darn upset when he announced the corner’s initial suspension on Wednesday.

The two-time Pro Bowler has one year remaining on a five-year, $35 million deal he signed back in 2014.
