The Carolina Panthers are busy cleaning house, and fullback Mike Tolbert has reportedly been released, just weeks after he played in the Pro Bowl.

Tolbert signed on with the Panthers in 2012 after spending his first four seasons in the NFL with the Chargers. He was due to earn $1.5 million in 2017.
Utilized mostly as a situational short-yardage and goal-line specialist, Tolbert participated in a total of 79 games for Carolina. During that stretch he tallied 992 rushing yards, 771 receiving yards and scored a total of 19 touchdowns.
The 31 year-old fullback weighs in at a stout 243 pounds and stands 5-foot-9 in height. He was a popular player on the Panthers, and it took a lot for defenders to drag him down when the ball was in his hands.
We shall see if he garners any interest on the free agent market, provided he still wants to keep playing the game.
