Report: Ex-Redskins TE Jordan Reed visiting Seahawks on Thursday

Former Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed is in Seattle on Thursday for a visit with the Seahawks, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Reed, who was released by the Redskins in February after clearing the concussion protocol, missed the entire 2019 season after suffering the seventh documented concussion in his career.

He played in 13 games for the Redskins during the 2018 season, hauling in 54 receptions for 558 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He earned a Pro Bowl selection in 2016, but has struggled to stay on the field due to multiple injuries in recent seasons.

A fit with the Seahawks is particularly surprising given they just signed Greg Olsen and Will Dissly is expected to return next season after tearing his Achilles in October.

Given Reed’s history of documented concussions, the 29-year-old might struggle to attract significant interest on the open market.
