The Philadelphia Eagles are not just reeling following a Week 2 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, they are dealing with a plethora of injuries at this early stage in the NFL season.

Fresh off reports that wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is expected to miss two games with a calf injury comes this news regarding fellow pass catcher DeSean Jackson.

According to Tim McManus of ESPN, Jackson is also set to miss two weeks with an abdominal strain.

Philadelphia plays two games within a five-day stretch. It starts Sunday afternoon against the Detroit Lions at home before the Eagles have to travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers on “Thursday Night Football”.

The timing for such a quick turnaround couldn’t be any worse. Jeffery and Jackson combined to haul in 13 passes for 203 yards and three touchdowns in Philadelphia’s season-opening win against Washington before both pulled up lame Sunday night.
