The New Orleans Saints already know that Drew Brees is coming back in 2020, and reportedly, he’ll take a hometown discount as well.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported that Brees could take a deal worth roughly $25 million per year, which of course is well below market value.
The big reason Brees would be willing to take such a discounted deal is that he could help the Saints potentially sign another free agent by taking up less cap space.
Brees, at the age of 41, has one goal in mind these days: Win another Super Bowl. So, it’s hardly surprising that he might be willing to give the Saints a huge break when it comes to his contract.
