The MLB All-Star Game will soon be returning to Dodger Stadium. Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reported that the Los Angeles Dodgers will host the Midsummer Classic in 2020, with an official announcement coming on Wednesday.

Despite being baseball’s third oldest stadium (only Fenway Park and Wrigley Field are older), Dodger Stadium has only hosted the game once since its 1962 opening. That was a 4-2 win by the National League in the 1980 game.
This will be the third time hosting the game for the Dodgers franchise. In addition to 1980, they also hosted the All-Star Game in 1959 at the Los Angeles Coliseum, and at Ebbets Field in 1949 when they played in Brooklyn.
The Midsummer Classic will be held at Washington’s Nationals Park in 2018, and Cleveland’s Progressive Field in 2019.
