After considering his options, which included the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, Darren Collison has reportedly decided to stay retired.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski shared the news Sunday, noting Collison “has informed teams that the timing isn’t right for him.”

Collison last played for the Indiana Pacers during the 2018-19 season, when he averaged 11.2 points and 6.0 assists, appearing in 76 games. The former first-round pick out of UCLA  averaged 12.5 points and 5.0 assists per game over the course of his 10-year career and could certainly be a strong addition to any roster. But for now, he’ll remain an outsider.
