Report: Chiefs considering trade up to land ‘Bama star Henry Ruggs III

The Kansas City Chiefs already feature the fastest offense in the league. Now there’s a draft rumor suggesting they want to add the fastest prospect in the class in a trade-up scenario to land Alabama receiver Henry Ruggs III.

Peter King of NBC Sports wrote Monday (via B/R Gridiron) that the Chiefs want to trade up for Ruggs if he falls into the 20s in Round 1.

As noted by B/R Gridiron, that would just be unfair.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has one of the best arms in the NFL, and he already has two lightning-fast receivers in Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman — both of whom were utterly electric in the team’s Super Bowl-winning 2019 season.

Adding Ruggs, who ran a 4.27-second 40 at the Combine despite a poor start off the block, would be like tossing a barrel of jet fuel onto a raging inferno.
