Terrell Suggs Chiefs

The AFC West champion Kansas City Chiefs will be adding a pass-rush reinforcement down the stretch and heading into the playoffs.

According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Kansas City has claimed seven-time Pro Bowler Terrell Suggs off waivers after the Arizona Cardinals surprisingly moved on from him late last week.

Suggs, 37, has recorded seven quarterback hits, 5.5 sacks and four forced fumbles in 13 games this season.

Arizona’s decision to release Suggs caught a lot of people by surprise. He now heads to a contending Chiefs team that will need some help making up for the loss of fellow defensive end Alex Okafor for the season to a pectoral injury.
