Celtics acquire Malcolm Brogdon from Pacers

The Boston Celtics are acquiring guard Malcolm Brogdon from the Indiana Pacers, ESPN reported on Friday.

ESPN reported the rebuilding Pacers will receive Boston’s first-round pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, as well as center Daniel Theis, forwards Aaron Nesmith, Malik Fitts and Juwan Morgan, and guard Nik Stauskas.

Brogdon, 29, averaged 19.1 points, 5.9 assists and 5.1 rebounds while playing in just 36 games (all starts) this past season.

He has chipped in 15.5 points, 4.8 assists and 4.2 boards in 333 career games (258 starts) with the Milwaukee Bucks and Pacers.

Theis, 30, averaged 8.2 points and 4.9 rebounds in 47 games (27 starts) last season split between the Houston Rockets and Celtics.

Nesmith, 22, contributed 3.8 points in 52 games (three starts) in 2021-22.

Fitts, 24, averaged 1.4 points and 1.1 rebounds in 15 games last season split between the Utah Jazz and Celtics.

Morgan, 25, played in two games last season, one each with the Toronto Raptors and Celtics.

Stauskas, 28, averaged 2.3 points in eight games in 2021-22 split between the Miami Heat and Celtics.
