The Los Angeles Rams’ decision to waive All-Pro return man Pharoh Cooper on Tuesday after less than three full seasons was somewhat of a surpise.
Sure Cooper had missed a vast majority of the season to injury, but you don’t earn an All-Pro spot in the NFL without being pretty darn good.
It sure didn’t take the former South Carolina star long before he was picked up. Boasting the No. 1 pick in the waiver order with a 3-11 record, the division-rival Arizona Cardinals picked Cooper up on Wednesday.
The Cardinals have claimed former Rams WR Pharoh Cooper off of waivers, per source.

Los Angeles had to suspect something of this ilk might happen. Cooper, 23, led the NFL with an average of 27.4 yards per kick return last season. He also put up a total of 1,421 all-purpose yards for the Rams.
It will be interesting to see if the talent-stricken Rams actually look to use Cooper more on offense than what we saw in Los Angeles.
