Report: Broncos RB C.J. Anderson likely out for the season

C.J. Anderson

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson is likely done for the season.

Denver feared Anderson was going to miss a lot of time with his knee injury. Anderson is currently leading the Broncos with 437 yards on the ground this season. His loss for the year would lead to promising rookie Devontae Booker to carry more of the load.

Booker is currently averaging 4.8 yards per carry and could wind up breaking over 1,000 yards on the season with more carries this year. The Broncos will have to sign someone to complement Booker and be the speed aspect. They should look into C.J. Spiller, the former Clemson running back who was recently released by the Seattle Seahawks.
