Markakis played in all 162 games for Atlanta in 2018. He hit .297/.366/.440 with 14 home, 93 RBI, and only 80 strikeouts. While Markakis has long been known for his consistency, it was the best statistical seasons he’d enjoyed in nearly a decade.
His strong season helped the Braves make the playoffs for the first time since 2013. Markakis also earned his first career trip to the All-Star Game.
