Based on what we’ve seen from Big Ben during his brilliant career, this really shouldn’t be considered that much of a surprise. On the field, he’s among the toughest players in the NFL.
Though, being able to return this soon after suffering a torn meniscus in his knee less than three weeks ago is pretty darn amazing.
For the Steelers, this could very well be the shot in the arm the team needs. Mike Tomlin’s squad has lost two consecutive and is averaging just 15.5 points per game during that span.
Thus far on the season, Roethlisberger is completing 64.2 percent of his passes with 16 touchdowns and six interceptions in six games.
In the five games that Big Ben has finished this season, the Steelers are averaging 25.8 points per outing. Needless to say, having him back on the field gives the Steelers a great opportunity to end their current skid.
