Baker Mayfield will play in the 2018 Senior Bowl after all. Robert Klemko of The MMQB reported this news Friday night.
Baker Mayfield has made a firm decision to play in the Senior Bowl, I'm told, contrary to some speculation around Mobile this week.

Mayfield arrived in Mobile, Ala. for Senior Bowl practices a day behind everyone else. He stayed behind an extra day to be with his mother, whom Klemko reported has been dealing with a heart condition.
From my convo last night with Baker Mayfield:
– Mom had a heart issue, is waiting on results of an echocardiogram, hence his late arrival.
– He's met at length with Saints Bills, Jets & Dolphins.
– Two OSU linemen cornered him about the flag thing 😂https://t.co/1cwZ1TgEjf

Mayfield is the marquee player at this year’s Senior Bowl. Everyone wants to see how both he and Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen will perform.
Of course, most folks who pay attention to college football know about Mayfield’s exploits. He won the Heisman Trophy in a landslide this past year and has a chance to be one of the first players selected in the upcoming 2018 NFL draft. One of the issues he’s working hard to clear up is making sure people realize he’s not the next Johnny Manziel.
A strong showing in Saturday’s game can only help his cause.
