Seven-time Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams sat out the entire 2019 season with the Washington Redskins after demanding a trade.
Williams’ primary issue was the was how Washington’s previous brass, led by the recently-fired Bruce Allen, handled a medical problem. He vowed to never suit up in D.C. again.
That could have very well changed with new head coach Ron Rivera running the ship in the nation’s capital. Rivera has been working hard on this front. More importantly, it looks like Williams is open to a reunion.
This could be a huge boon for Washington. The No. 4 overall pick of the team back in 2010, Williams earned seven consecutive Pro Bowl appearances before sitting out last season.
Now that Allen is gone and the front office is seemingly being run by the respected Doug Williams, among others, this spat between Trent Williams and the organization could be a thing of the past.
