Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden is lesser known than his brother, Oakland Raiders head man Jon Gruden. It has probably led to some sibling rivalry within the Gruden household.

Good natured ribbing and the like. Jay Gruden took that to a new level on Wednesday when asked why new Redskins cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie retired halfway through his only season with Jon and the Raiders.

That’s some beautiful stuff right there from Mr. Gruden. But in case you can’t read sarcasm, the Redskins’ head coach was obviously joking.

DRC retired after just seven games with the Raiders last season. He ultimately surprised a lot of people by signing with the Redskins earlier this offseason.
