Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is dealing with an ankle sprain — not the more serious high-ankle sprain — and could play in Week 15 against Green Bay.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Monday the plan is “for Lamar to be out there” against the visiting Packers in Sunday’s critical contest.

“We’ll just have to see what it is from there and how he feels this week, going forward,” Harbaugh added.

Jackson left Sunday’s game early in the second quarter after being taken down on a blitz from Cleveland linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. Jackson, the 2019 NFL MVP, did not return to the game after moving to the sideline under his own power and being carted to the locker room.

He left the stadium in a protective boot.

Jackson, 24, finished 4-for-4 passing for 17 yards as the Ravens trailed 10-0 en route to a 24-22 loss. He added 5 yards rushing on two carries.

Backup Tyler Huntley took over at quarterback for the Ravens after Jackson’s departure, completing 27 of 38 passes for 270 yards and one touchdown, with no interceptions. Huntley lost two fumbles.

The Ravens (8-5) still have a one-game lead over the Browns and Cincinnati Bengals (both 7-6) in the AFC North and are currently the No. 4 seed in the AFC. However, they next face a Packers team that comes into Baltimore with a 10-3 record.

Harbaugh also announced Monday that the team has signed former safety Tony Jefferson to the practice squad. Jefferson played in 35 games (all starts) for the Ravens from 2017-19.
