Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is impressing his coaches. As it turns out, he’s impressing his teammates, as well.
Pro Bowl linebacker C.J. Mosley, in fact, compared Jackson to one of the most dynamic players in NFL history, Michael Vick.
“Once he gets out of the pocket, it’s like watching a young Michael Vick,” Mosley said, per Jamison Hensley of ESPN. “It’s amazing to watch. When you’re defending him, you just have to act like you’re tagging off — you don’t want to be on the highlight reel.”
That’s certainly lofty praise. If Jackson is anywhere near as productive for the Ravens as a young Vick was for the Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore will have found itself a steal with the final pick of the first round.
Ravens’ coach John Harbaugh has already made it known that Jackson will be featured in the offense. If he’s on par with a young Vick, that will certainly make Baltimore games more entertaining to watch, if nothing else.
