Hospitalized Ravens fan, still in critical condition, gives thumbs up to doctors

A Baltimore Ravens fan who was attacked by two Oakland Raiders supporters on Sunday is showing positive signs at the hospital.

“The family of 55-year-old Joseph Bauer, who was beaten at Sunday’s Ravens game and hospitalized, reported encouraging signs from the hospital Tuesday,” Tim Prudente of The Baltimore Sun said. “The Jessup man remains in critical condition with a brain injury, but he has given a thumbs-up at the request of doctors.”

This is certainly good news. This senseless incident has caught the attention of the Baltimore¬†organization. The Ravens have spoken out about the incident, with coach John Harbaugh saying “whatever has to be done, will be done” in order to prevent anything like this from happening again.

For now, though, all parties involved can be encouraged by the good news, hoping more follows.
