The city of Toronto and entire nation of Canada is understandably excited over Kawhi Leonard leading the Raptors to the NBA title.

Though, there’s an obvious backdrop to all of this. Leonard is an impending free agent and the NBA Finals MVP might very well leave Canada for the bright lights of Los Angeles.

Just a week-plus until free agency opens, Leonard remains in Toronto and is enjoying the city with his family. Unfortunately, he’s not being left alone by the citizens of that metropolis.

Enter into the equation super fan Nav Bhatia, who is pleading with Canada’s finest to leave Leonard alone. Check out his presser in all of its glory.

Mr. Bhatia might have a point here. Leonard is a private person. All of the hoopla surrounding him might not work to the Raptors’ favor.

What we do know is that everyone in Toronto is working to retain one of the game’s best players. That includes him being offered a million-dollar penthouse for free.

Whether this works remains to be seen.
