Rangers claim F Jake Leschyshyn off waivers

The New York Rangers claimed forward Jake Leschyshyn off waivers Wednesday from the Vegas Golden Knights.

Leschyshyn, 23, skated in 22 games for Vegas this season and recorded zero points, 38 hits and eight blocks.

The Golden Knights’ 2017 second-round pick had two goals and four assists in 41 games in his first NHL season in 2021-22.

He has 46 points (24 goals, 22 assists) in 137 AHL games with the Chicago Wolves (2018-20) and Henderson Silver Knights (2020-22).
