In a surprise move, the Las Vegas Raiders have signed longtime Cowboys TE Jason Witten to a contract and ink their first DL in Maliek Collins on Day 2 of NFL free agency.

Darren Waller, Foster Moreau and now Jason Witten?

The 37-year old retired and unretired tight end, who spent a year in the broadcast booth as part of the Monday Night Football crew, reportedly has signed a deal to come to Las Vegas.

Vinny Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal first reported the Witten deal.

Witten played 16 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and last season finished with 63 catches for 529 yards. It is believed the veteran’s presence in the Raiders tight end room will benefit it’s two youngest stars.

Defensive tackle Maliek Collins, who our own Moe Moton wrote about just yesterday, also signed with Las Vegas on the second day of legal tampering in the NFL. Collins, also coming to Las Vegas from the Cowboys, is 24-years-old and started all 55 games for the Cowboys the last four years.

Maliek Collins gives Guenther a big body – and depth – inside.

The Raiders have quickly addressed glaring needs on defense with the addition early Tuesday of linebacker Cory Littleton formerly of the Rams. On Monday, the team signed linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski and veteran QB Marcus Mariota.
