Hunter Renfrow caught a lot of passes during what seemed like a decade-long career with the Clemson Tigers. The 5-foot-10 receiver hauled in a total of 186 passes over four seasons.
This led Renfrow to the Oakland Raiders with the 149th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
According to the rookie, he wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for his mother’s inaccuracy tossing him the rock as a child.
This is no joke. Renfrow decided to toss his mom under the bus in speaking to the media on Friday. It’s all sorts of great.
Let’s go with the obvious here. Maybe Renfrow’s mother was being inaccurate on purpose. Catching perfect passes wouldn’t have helped her son become the receiver he is today.
Less obvious is the fact that Renfrow saw his fair share of inaccurate passes at Clemson. Again, moms might have been helpful in that regard.
Let’s just hope Renfrow decides against throwing his newest quarterback, Derek Carr, under the bus in the same fashion.
