Pro Football Hall of Famer Cortez Kennedy dies at 48

In some tragic and extremely shocking news around the football world, former Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle and Pro Football Hall of Famer Cortez Kennedy has passed away at the age of 48.

TMZ Sports was the first to report this sad news, indicating that the Orlando Police Department has confirmed Kennedy’s passing.

“We spoke to Orlando PD who confirmed Kennedy’s passing … but they added ‘there is nothing suspicious’ about his death,” the report read.

Kennedy, an eight-time Pro Bowler with the Seahawks, was the No. 3 overall pick back in 1990 after starring for the Miami Hurricanes. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame back in 2012.

According to TMZ Sports, Kennedy’s family is on its way to Florida following this tragic news. There’s no information out right now regarding the cause of death. We will surely provide updates when they become available.
