Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl offensive guard Brandon Brooks missed practice on Sunday due to dehydration that caused issues with his kidneys, James Palmer of NFL Network reported Tuesday.
The issue was significant enough that it required a trip to the hospital for Brooks, who thankfully was back at practice on Tuesday.
Obviously he got the treatment he needed and is back to full health, but boy what a scare that must have been.
Brooks, originally a third-round pick of the Houston Texans out of Miami (OH) back in 2012, has emerged as a key player for last year’s Super Bowl champs, who feature one of the best offensive lines in football today.
The past two seasons he’s started 33 games for the Eagles, including all three postseason games last year.
