Potential top pick Bradley Chubb sitting out bowl game, preparing for draft

Bradley Chubb

NC State pass rusher Bradley Chubb is entering the 2018 NFL Draft. As he prepares for his next endeavor, Chubb has opted not to play in the team’s bowl game on Friday, the program announced.

Chubb is expected to be a top-5 pick by many who cover the draft. He’s an explosive edge rusher who combines speed and power, not to mention the bend to get around offensive tackles, better than any other pass rusher entering the 2018 NFL Draft.

During his senior campaign, Chubb racked up 10 sacks and 26 tackles for a loss, which ranked second in the nation. He also showed the ability to play through some serious pain and was an offense-wrecker all season long.

He finishes his career at NC State with 25 sacks, having tallied 10 the past two seasons in a row.
