The Pittsburgh Pirates traded relief pitcher Clay Holmes to the New York Yankees Monday for two infield prospects.

Holmes, 28, has pitched in 44 games this season, registering a 4.93 ERA and 44 strikeouts over 42 innings.

The Pirates received Hoy Jun Park and Diego Castillo in the deal.

Park, 25, is having a great season at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He is hitting .327 with a .475 on-base percentage, 10 home runs, nine doubles and eight stolen bases in 48 games. He was called up to the big leagues on July 16 and stayed up for five days, playing in one game.

The South Korea native originally signed with the Yankees for $1 million as an 18-year-old international free agent in 2014.
