Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper (calf) not in lineup vs. Mets

Outfielder Bryce Harper is out of the Philadelphia Phillies’ starting lineup on Sunday against the host New York Mets.

Harper, 28, reportedly has some tightness and swelling in his left calf after being hit by a pitch by Mets right-hander Jacob deGrom in Saturday’s 4-3 loss.

Travis Jankowski, who replaced Harper on Saturday, will start in right field on Sunday and bat fifth in the order.

Harper is hitting .272 with 11 home runs and 21 RBIs in 55 games this season.

The 2015 NL MVP and six-time All-Star is a career .276 hitter with 243 home runs and 689 RBIs in 1,197 games with the Washington Nationals (2012-18) and Phillies.
