Pelicans’ Anthony Davis ruled out with shoulder injury

This might solve a few issues or cause some major drama for the New Orleans Pelicans and disgruntled star Anthony Davis.

Taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder ahead of this weekend’s All-Star Break the star suffered a shoulder injury in the third quarter of Thursday’s game.

While there was no concreate evidence as to how he suffered said injury, the Pelicans almost immediately ruled Davis out for the remainder of the game.

Remember, Davis had requested a trade late last month. Once the Pelicans weren’t able to work out a deal ahead of last week’s deadline, reports surfaced that the team might sit him for the remainder of the season.

At that point, the NBA threatened to fine New Orleans $100,000 every time they made Davis a healthy scratch. Since then, it’s been a complete and utter disaster for Davis and the Pelicans.

Talk about coming full circle.

Let’s just hope that Davis’ injury isn’t too serious. That would cause some unnecessary drama around the NBA.
