Patriots superstar has charges dropped for drunken incident

New England Patriots superstar Julian Edelman is officially off the hook with charges dropped stemming from a drunken incident in January.

Back on January 11 of this year, Edelman was busted for misdemeanor vandalism after he jumped onto the top of a Mercedes in front of police in Beverley Hills, reeking of booze. He had been dining at Cantina FRIDA with fellow superstars Paul Pierce and Danny Amendola prior to being busted, and clearly he had been enjoying the refreshments that evening.

Per TMZ Sports, the owner of said vehicle has told the prosecutor he doesn’t want Edelman charged any more because “he has been fully compensated for the repair costs to the vehicle.”

Per the report, “the case filing has been formally declined ‘in the interests of justice.'”

So there you have it. Case closed.

Edelman can now focus on getting ready for his first season in New England without Tom Brady, whenever the offseason begins.
