The NFL released the top-10 players for 2020 during a network broadcast on Wednesday. It’s the culmination of the top-100 players as voted on by players around the league.

In a stunner, reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes did not even find himself within the top three. Last season’s NFL MVP Lamar Jackson took the top spot with Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson coming in at No. 2 and Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald finding himself one spot ahead of Mahomes at three.

Mahomes responded on social media without even saying a word. Rather, it came in true 2020 emoji form.

Watch out, NFL players, the new $500 million man is taking note of your disrespect. Sure Jackson came away with the regular-season MVP, but it’s unimaginable that his fellow players did not rank Mahomes No. 1 overall.

All the youngster has done in two full seasons as a starter is rack up north of 9,100 passing yards with 76 touchdowns and 17 interceptions.

He’s earned a regular-season MVP and led Kansas City back from a double-digit fourth quarter deficit against the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl en route to earning that game’s top individual honor.

Others took note of the snub, too.

Regardless, the last thing other NFL teams needed to do was give Mr. Mahomes some more fuel for that fire with the 2020 season starting in less than two months.
