Patrick Mahomes is currently the cat’s meow when it comes to elite quarterbacks in the NFL, but he is in awe of another gunslinger still playing in the league.

The NFL has been sharing some amazing highlights from seasons past recently as the sports world remains on lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On Wednesday, it featured an absurd Aaron Rodgers throw that ultimately did not count due to a penalty.

Mahomes, bored at home like the rest of us, saw this and shared his thoughts, noting it was the “best throw I think I have ever seen!”

As for the first part of Mahomes’ tweet — the coaches film — Aaron Nagler of Cheesehead TV provided the angle Mahomes desired to see.

Mahomes is known for doing stuff like this, too (watch here), but it’s easy to understand why he’s in awe of what Rodgers pulled off.

Really, this throw was otherworldly. Rodgers is getting hit from the right side (low), yet still manages to throw a dart across his body, over defenders, that lands perfectly into the hands of his receiver in the end zone.
